LLL Retreat at Camp

Some people assume that Christians don’t care about
creation since, according to some Christians, it will be
destroyed anyway; others assume that creation exists solely
for humans to use as they see fit. Prof. Charles Arand will
discuss these issues at Camp CILCA on Sat., Aug. 27, from
9-3:30. Lunch is included. To register send your name and
$17.50 by Aug. 23 to Glenn O’Briant 321 Morton Dr.,
Quincy, IL 62305. The retreat is sponsored by the LLL; but
all are welcome and take the opportunity to meet other
Christians.
We meet the 1st Tuesday of the month, (from September
through May), for Bible Study, a business meeting, and
refreshments.
The Men's Club supports the ministry of St Paul Blue Point
in a number of different ways, from supplying Portals of
Prayer and Lenten and Advent devotionals books, to helping
the congregation with special projects throughout the year,
supporting our Sunday School program and providing
resources for students who are planning to enter full time
church vocations. They also support the work of
International Lutheran Hour Ministries locally and
throughout the world.
Each year, on the first Sunday in February, the Men's Club
hosts an annual Whole Hog Sausage Supper.
